This vintage statue was bought back from Egypt in the 1980s by my parents.
It depicts an archeological standing statue of the Pharaoh Tutenkharmun.
He was an 18th dynasty Pharaoh who ascended to the throne at aged 9 years. He ruled from 1332-1323 BC. His almost intact tomb was discovered in 1922.
At 20 cm high and 5 cm wide he stands on a plinth with carved hieroglyphics.
Made in the 1980s for the tourist trade he is carved from a stone material, and is carved in a well defined and detailed manner.
