Vintage Castens Tonnieshoff Handkerchief Vase, West German Pottery

This is a stunning example of Trude Castens work. 1954
Trude Casterns was the Artistic director of Carstens Tonnieshof until 1965. A successful company with their peak from the 1950s - 70s.
Most of the shapes and designs were made by Trude Carstens.
Pieces are of good quality, and come in some very stylish and brave forms and glazes like this Vase.
To ID turn over the item to identify the reddish clay around the base rim, and usually the makers mark of two little houses with a C beneath, with W. Germant imprinted.
The number you see is the design number followed by the height.
A beautiful mid century "folded handkerchief" vase in beige with Gilded gold Rim is in excellent condition. No chips cracks or scratches.
Vintage mid-century pottery vase Carstens of Tonnieshof, backstamp features the double houses and letter C and number 474-14.
Measures 178 cm long x 10.9 cm wide x 12.8 cm tall.
